It was demolished in the 1940s after the returned veterans who were squatting it were moved into the Dunsmuir Hotel, which was taken over by the Sally Ann  & converted into a men’s hostel. The third (current) Hotel Vancouver opened in 1939, but this one was the best of the bunch. Get a load of them Western Canada gargoyles.
